Hello all,
I am due to graduate in June with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art. I want to teach FE/HE I think (most likely Art Foundation, 6th form art, or potentially degree level), and so am unsure what my options are with a PGCE and a PCET. I am slightly confused about the QTS that you receive with a PGCE but not with a PCET, and generally the difference in the status of having a PGCE vs a PCET; whether this would limit my options with teaching. For example, could you still teach A Level or diploma at a 6th form college with a PCET (therefore not QTS), or would you need a PGCE?
I don't know whether previous academic results such as GCSE's and A levels would help if you only had a PGCE when applying for 6th form teaching posts?
Any help would be hugely appreciated!
