The Government want to make qualifications for teachers in the Lifelong Learning Sector voluntary, and revoke the Regulations. This could take effect from September 2012.

It’s only open for a few weeks.I have also set up an online Government petition – please sign it (you will then receive an e-mail and need to click on the link to activate it).
