Post subject: PGCE (PCET) Interview advice  PostPosted: Feb 05, 2010 - 04:45 PM

I have an upcoming interview for the PGCE in post-compulsory education and training on the 24th February. I have been asked to give a presentation on the following:

'What are the 3 key factors to consider when planning a session for a group of learners studying in a Post-16 environment?'

Could you give me some advice on how to narrow down my choice of factors. I am uncertain if I should talk in broad terms about aims/objectives/outcomes, or if I am expect to talk about other factors, such as: communication, differentiation etc. Although I have observational experience within FE colleges, alongside over two years experience as a volunteer mentor (including literacy workshops), I am somewhat unfamiliar with the jargon and terminology related to the field. I am at a loss as to where to begin my research.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
